The association, as well as many companies and individuals, organized donations after learning local food banks will run out of supplies because of the budget problems-even if the budget were passed tomorrow. The Young Lawyers Division donated $4,000 and the Bar Association donated $2,000 to be shared by the Bread Basket, United Neighborhood Centers and St. Francis of Assisi kitchen. 

“These donations could not come at a better time and will go a long way in keeping the food pantries stocked in the interim,” said Chip Abrahamsen, a board member of both the Young Lawyers Division and the Bread Basket.
