Edwin A. Abrahamsen

Edwin (Ned) Abrahamsen was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Franklin & Marshall College in 1973 and his Juris Doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law in 1976.
In 1976, he was admitted to the Bar in the Pennsylvania and U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania. He was admitted before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit in 1980 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States of America in 1993.

In addition to his practice with individuals and small businesses, Ned has served as Solicitor for various organizations, including:

  • Borough of Blakely, 1978 – present
  • Scranton School District and School Building Authority, 1980 – 1994
  • Old Forge School District, 1989 – 1991
  • Shohola Township, 2001 – 2010

PRACTICE AREAS

  • Ned’s practice focuses on personal injury cases, where he has successfully represented clients in the areas of wrongful death; auto, truck and motorcycle accidents; slip and fall; medical malpractice; construction accidents; deaths, burns and amputations; and dangerous products and machines. As well, he has extensive experience in the areas of workers’ compensation, social security and complex commercial litigation.
  • Ned  has been named a "Pennslyvania Super Lawyer" every year since 2006. The selection process for Super Lawyers is a comprehensive, good-faith and detailed attempt to produce a list of lawyers that have attained high peer recognition, meet ethical standards, and have demonstrated some degree of achievement in their field. This honor recognizes the top 5% of lawyers in the state.
